Your Guide to Christmas Decorations in The Rocks 2024

Wander through the quaint laneways of The Rocks for the most charming Christmas cheer this holiday season. We've put together a list of our must-see decorations, which will be up until December 26.

Don't forget to check out what's on this Christmas. From crafty workshops to delicious feasts, pawsome pet-friendly activities, markets and plenty of gifting options, there's so much to see and do.

Nurses Walk

Start your journey at Nurses Walk, where you'll be greeted by fairy lights and garlands decorated in exquisite native florals.

The Rocks’ Christmas Tree

The Rocks’ towering seven-metre-tall Christmas tree is back, complete with native florals that honour our connection to First Nations culture. You’ll find the tree in the heart of The Rocks at the top of Jack Mundey Place and covered in warm tones of yellows and pinks, created by Nadia Duran. Wooden baubles have also been designed by Wiradjuri artist, Shelby-Rae Lyons. Each bauble represents the elements of Country, family and connection.

Christmas Villages

Take a stroll through The Rocks to see the mini Christmas villages that adorn our cobblestoned streets. Each village has been uniquely painted by illustrator Nico Nicoson to capture the laid-back Aussie holiday vibe. From peeled prawns, fresh cherries and icecream to the beauty of our Australian landscapes and native flora, each mini marvel is a tiny tribute to the things we love most about celebrating Christmas in summertime.

Continue your journey and see some of Sydney's best Christmas decorations at Darling Harbour and Barangaroo.
