Katie Perry

Australian made, eco friendly fabrics, premium travel and loungewear.

Katie Perry's fashion journey began with a rich heritage; her great-grandfather was a wool merchant, and her mother worked with Benetton. Growing up, she lived across Asia, Europe, and South Africa before settling in Sydney. Driven by a lifelong passion, she designed her first piece at 11. Industry experience at Brown's, Oroton, and David Jones preceded her 2006 label launch, focusing on sustainable, travel-friendly designs for women, later expanding to men, home, and kids.

Sustainability is central to her brand, manufacturing locally in Sydney since 2006. Prioritising quality and ethical practices, they use natural fabrics, plant trees, and rescue ocean plastic. Though sustainable practices lead to higher price points, Perry believes in their long-term value, inspired by future generations and Vivienne Westwood's "Buy less. Choose well. Make it last."

Her advice to emerging designers: allow ample time for creative exploration, start at local markets for direct feedback, pivot based on customer insights, understand your business numbers, consider local production, and, most importantly, "Do It! Dream, Plan and Take Action."
