Ballast Point Park is a 2.6-hectare site dedicated to passive recreation. It contains areas for picnicking and walking along the foreshore as well as spaces to enjoy the spectacular views and historic remains from when the area was originally one of Sydney's major oil distribution sites.

In addition to general standards/criteria, the proposed event must:

  • Maintain a 1.5 metre set back from the footpath and foreshore edge to maintain pedestrian access
  • Protect the amenity of public realm users and adjoining residents, in terms of event orientation, noise, lighting and environmental impacts
  • Bump in and out shall generally be restricted to between the hours of 9am and 7pm, unless otherwise authorised by PMNSW. The hours will be subject to variation dependent on the nature of the event
  • Events shall generally be staged within the park’s operating hours of sunrise to sunset
  • Use approved turf protection for all vehicle movements
  • Not use pegs or stakes to secure items on the grassed area
