Curator tour: Primavera 2026

Join exhibition curator, Antares Wells, for a tour of Primavera 2026: Young Australian Artists, the MCA's annual exhibition of exciting new work by Australian artists aged 35 and under.

Including photography, film, installation, textiles and painting, this year's iteration of Primavera brings together artists from across the country opening up new ways of working with history, memory and the archive. Learn how the artists approach the material and psychic traces of the past, from irreverent and experimental approaches to archival material, to acts of obsession and making art at the edges of memory.

Just a short wander from The Rocks, the tour offers a thoughtful way to experience one of the MCA’s key annual exhibitions and discover the next wave of Australian contemporary artists.
