Hany Armanious: The Planets
Everyday life transformed into objects of wonder.
Hany Armanious The Planets is the latest in a series of exhibitions that invite artists to present new work in dialogue with works from the MCA Collection. It features thirty works by the acclaimed contemporary artist who has exhibited extensively nationally and internationally since the 1990s and represented Australia at the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011.
Featuring 30 works, the exhibition is the latest in a series that invites artists to create new work in dialogue with the MCA Collection. Through labour-intensive processes of replication and fabrication, Armanious creates sculptures that sit between reality and illusion, encouraging visitors to look closer at the familiar.
Having exhibited nationally and internationally since the 1990s and represented Australia at the 54th Venice Biennale, Armanious continues to captivate audiences with works that reveal the wonder, complexity and fragility of everyday life.
Visit MCA Australia to experience Hany Armanious: The Planets, or enjoy 2-for-1 exhibition tickets during MCA Late on Thursdays from 5pm–9pm.
