Neil Balnaves Tallawoladah Lawn Commission
Price’s large-scale sculptures of everyday, imagined people invite us to consider who is typically represented in public space. By elevating the lives of people of colour, the artist challenges the individuals, and power structures, that traditional sculpture upholds. His works encourage reflection on the role statues play in shaping collective memory, reimagining who is valued and remembered.
The 2025 Tallawoladah Lawn Sculpture Commission marks the artist’s first major public work in Australia. Standing on the Sydney Harbour foreshore in Warrane, Price’s new sculpture continues his engagement with themes of power and representation.
Price’s new artwork for the Commission will be revealed in September 2025.
