Sydney St Patrick’s Day Festival 2024

On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March you can celebrate all things Irish at the globally renowned Sydney St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival.

The Sydney St Patrick’s Day Festival is returning to The Rocks for a family-friendly, free event.

Sat 16 March: Music Night at First Fleet Park

• 6pm - 10pm: free music night featuring dynamic Irish band 'Sásta' at First Fleet Park. Food, drinks and merchandise will be available.

Sun 17 March: Events at First Fleet Park, Tallawoladah Lawns, Bligh & Barney Reserve and Cadman’s Cottage

• 11am - 6pm: First Fleet Park will host the main entertainment stage with live music and Irish dance performances.
• Tallowoladah Lawns will have a community focus throughout the day with the Irish Support Agency Tea Tent, market stalls and Traditional Sessions music.
• 12.30pm - 2.30pm: Citizenship Ceremonies will take place in the marquee on the Lower Promenade.
• 10am - 6pm: Bligh & Barney Reserve and Cadman’s Cottage is the Cultural & Arts hub and will feature a dedicated Irish dance stage with performances from 11am – 4pm, Irish Language Lessons and Irish Crafts.

A range of food vendors and bars will be available throughout the day. 

Sun 17 March: The famous St Patrick's Day Parade!

The Sydney St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2024 will be a walking parade with small vehicles and floats permitted and will include roving performers, Irish dancing groups, pipe bands and local community groups. The parade will commence at 11am on Pitt Street at Hunter Street and will continue down Pitt Street and concludes at Alfred Street.
