Find one-of-a-kind treasures at the best bespoke retailers in The Rocks
In a world where almost everything is mass produced, owning something that was handmade just for you is the ultimate luxury. Whether it’s a handcut Tasmanian sapphire, a tailored linen suit or something you created yourself, one-of-a-kind items are always the greatest treasures.
To help you find your own treasures, we’ve curated a list of the best bespoke retailers in The Rocks
Jason Ree
Jason Ree is one of Australia’s most awarded jewellers, making every piece by hand from his workshop on George St in The Rocks. His collection features engagement and wedding rings, necklaces and rare Mokume Gane metals with intricate layered patterns. But his best work is his bespoke jewellery, custom made after a one-on-one consult and designed in collaboration with his customers.

AHW Studio
AHW Studio are a family run jewellery and fine art collective who craft finely detailed steampunk rings, pendants, cufflinks, earrings and bracelets. Many of their unique, one-off pieces are set with salvaged watch mechanisms to create an intricate, industrial look with raw brass and precious metals.
Joe Bananas
Joe Bananas, a trained geologist, captured the vibes of the early 80s when he started his wildly colourful men’s clothing label 40 years ago. His designs took inspiration from local geological phenomena, such as black opals and used only the finest handwoven silks and linens. The brand really took off one day in the 80s when Elton John walked into the store and bought every single item in it to be sent back to London.
Today Joe Bananas is an international phenomenon, selling their flamboyantly stylish jackets, shirts, trousers and suits in three stores from The Rocks, Sydney to Madison Avenue, New York. They offer their entire collection off the rack, but for a truly bespoke fit, enquire about their made-to-measure service.
Wendy Murray
Wendy Murray handcrafts limited runs of premium leather and suede women’s garments, using the highest quality New Zealand and Australian leather. Her range, on show in her George St boutique, includes intricately patterned dresses, bags, boots and jackets.
Mancuso Fine Jewellery

Their design-your-own experience allows you to select your own jewel and work with an expert designer to create whatever piece you or your loved one are dreaming of.
Hunting Hue
Hunting Hue’s concept store in The Rocks takes inspiration from the local area to create unique printed clothing, swimwear and fine art prints. Everything Hunting Hue creates is custom and made to order.
