Free Poppy Making Workshop

Take part in creating a ‘field of Poppies’ these school holidays at The Rocks Discovery Museum.
These school holidays your family can explore The Rocks Discovery Museum and take part in a poppy making workshop to honour the ANZAC’s.

Create your own red poppy while learning the meaning behind this powerful symbol of remembrance. Inspired by the bright poppies that grew across the battle scarred fields of France and Belgium after World War I, the red poppy became a way to honour those who served and sacrificed.

This hands on activity invites children and families to craft a poppy of their own and reflect on the stories that continue to shape ANZAC and Remembrance traditions.
